Welcome to S.H.A.K.E. Dance School, a renowned establishment located in the vibrant city of Spring Hill, Australia. Situated at the heart of Love Street, our dance school has been a point of interest for dance enthusiasts since its establishment in 1998 in New Farm.
What started as a small venture with just 2 jazz classes and 9 students, quickly grew into a thriving institution filled with passion and talent. Our principal initially saw it as a part-time bit of fun, but it soon became evident that S.H.A.K.E. Dance School had the potential to become something much greater.
Today, we offer a diverse range of dance genres, with 7 different styles to choose from. From classical ballet to contemporary, hip hop to tap, our dedicated instructors ensure that there is something for everyone. We take pride in fostering a positive and welcoming atmosphere, where students can explore their creativity and develop their skills.
At S.H.A.K.E. Dance School, we believe in the importance of performance opportunities. Our students regularly showcase their talent at school fetes and community events, allowing them to gain valuable stage experience and share their love for dance with the wider community. Additionally, we hold two major concerts at the end of each year, where our dancers dazzle audiences with their remarkable performances.
Our commitment to excellence is reflected in the achievements of our students. Many of them have gone on to further their education in prestigious institutions such as the Queensland Ballet and QUT Fine Arts. We are proud to have been the first dance studio in Queensland to have a student pass the highest level of ballet with the CSTD.
Aside from technical skills, we prioritize instilling a positive attitude and strong work ethic in our dancers.
