"I will preface this by saying I am a plus-size woman. I know I am not JayJays target customer demographic. But this review is not about the company not stocking plus size clothing. I went into the Redbank store in January to buy a top for my petite friend. As I walked by the checkout to grab said item, I was greeted pleasantly by a woman in her 40's or 50's (who I assumed to be management considering most workers are generally adolescent-looking.) I found what I wanted and headed back to the counter. I handed the woman who had greeted me the top and she turned to one of the younger workers and asked her to serve me instead. The older woman passed the top to the younger worker and said not-so-subtly, "definitely not a size small..." and laughed. The younger worker laughed politely (that kind of awkward ha-ha you offer your boss because you feel obligated to) and stepped up to serve me. She was overly nice to me; I think trying to compensate for her boss straight up insulting me. I left quickly. Never again, JayJays, never again. P.S. At least my friend liked the top."
"Every time I've come here the staff have been amazing. Most recently I went with my stepdaughter, who is just learning her own style and beginning her fragile tween stage. The staff were so helpful with her (and she can talk your ear off!) and made her feel more comfortable in finding her size and age appropriate clothing within the budget we had set for her. My little girl felt like she had a personal shopper! She was a bit confused when we went elsewhere and she didn't receive the same level of service"
