"Absolutely disgusted. I purchased a bowling ball for $250. on the 25/08/2021. Went bowling once. Went a 2nd time on the 15/09/2021, however the mechanics in the lane seized up and we could not finish our game so I was given a credit voucher to come back another day. Since then we have had Covid Lockdowns, Floods, etc,and I went travelling down to Canberra through the month of January. A couple of months back, I excitely got my ball out to show a friend, only to discover that my ball had a crack/ split all around its circumference. I rang the owner of the Pro Shop only to be told that this is a "normal occurance " for bowling balls, and it relates to weather conditions. One would think, that if this is a known condition or issue, then surely at the time of purchase, either a conversation should have taken place, or at the very least an information sheet should be provided regarding, how to store your ball. I will be taking this further with the Departmnet of Fair Trading, however the main reason for this review, is so that noone else throws away $250 like I did."
