"We shopped at Ferny Grove Discount Drug Store for the first time this week. My husband is terminally ill and goes through a lot of medication, so we thought the local 'discount' chemist was worth a try. After a long dispensing wait, we paid $98. When we got home, we compared all three medications with our usual Terry White/Chempro prices. Two medications were charged at double their cost and the third was nearly triple. I called the Discount Drug Store to querie the discrepancy in pricing. They were polite and advised me to come back into the store and they would refund $52 to my credit card, making the total cost of the medication $46 as it should have been. If I had not checked, we would be substantially out of pocket. No amount of politeness will ever bring our business back to them."
