Reviews
"Went there on a weekend due to the incredible reviews and recommendations online but other than the really nice view… the food was honestly just so disappointing for the high price tag. Entree was ok but not memorable but we ordered the lobster pasta and fish dish and was severely disappointed. The lobster pasta tasted super bland so we had to ask for salt and pepper ourselves to balance the flavours it was okay after that but not for the $70 price tag. The fish dish was a small proportion overcooked and unseasoned we had it with a salad which was bitter did not taste great. We did not stay for dessert even though we wanted to try the tiramisu the meals were such a let down we didn’t want to disappoint ourselves again. When we paid the bill we decided not to tip and our waiter did not even care to say bye to us when we left or thank you after his last interaction with us. Usually this wont matter to us but since everything was so bad we thought maybe service would be at least ok but it was not. If you’re someone who is looking for a special place to dine at for a special occasion there are way better options than visiting otto. EDIT: we messaged customer service and they said the general manager would get in touch with us but we waited 2 weeks and there was no response. We emailed customer service again and this time the general manager messaged us and we replied. Since then its been a month with no response."
"The food and service is always amazing! Make sure you try the champagne lobster spaghettini- it is divine! Also their house made bread and olive oil is so good that we usually ask for seconds"
"Great place by the water backed by an excellent bar. Outstanding cocktails and service. While the food was good the mains portion sizes were unusually small compared to other restaurants of similar calibre. The staff appeared to be rushed, not sure if they were short staffed fir the night"
"We went there to have late dinner at 8pm Sunday. The service was super great! Staff are super friendly around bar area and restaurant part both. Food has some up and down. We know the price will be pricy near the river, so I’m not complaining about the price at all. Let’s just talk about food. Dietary requirements did great as well. 1. Entree lobster pasta sauce are great but lobster is not that fresh. I can taste the fishy smell. It gave us funny belly. When I ate dessert course, I have to run to toilet a bit which not too bad, but my Fiancé had a diarrhea at mid night and in the morning. 2: John Dory fish special with salad on the side is fresh and taste great. We finished and made the finish bone super clean. Whole fish is hard to do like this if it’s not fresh. 3 Vegan dessert and the apple, dill & funnel pana cota are great. The dry ice on top is fancy. 4. Lastly free bread is soft and nice. We love it. Overall, food and service are mostly taste great. But too bad we got a bit food poisoning situation happening… so 4 stars ⭐️"
