"After many years with a coffee subscription from another business I switched over to Core Roasters. The main reason for the switch was the certainty of being able to pick-up our coffee from Core, which is very close to our home, and avoid the disastrous consequence of running out of coffee. I was also consistently impressed by the quality of the various filter coffees I had been drinking on my occasional visits. We collected our first beans early today, fortunately these guys open at 7am as we had run out of beans! Michael kindly lent us a reusable container to try out. Today's beans were single origin Ugandan and made a delicious coffee. The best I have been able to make for myself in years. Glad to have these generous, friendly and extremely knowledgeable folks so close to home. Can't recommend them enough."
"A much needed addition to the neighbourhood (the options for speciality coffee are surprisingly few). Some of the finest coffee I’ve ever had. Their patented long black is so memorable I find myself day dreaming about it. The knowledge behind the counter is just as impressive as the witty banter and baked goods. Surprised to see a negative review. A lesson for everyone, if your expectations aren’t met - address it at the time - any place of this standard would do everything they can to turn your experience around."
"Nice aesthetic place, but honest review would be: 1. Dani, co-owner, was not approachable whilst serving us at the front counter. Just seemed in general annoyed or bothered. Not sure if she was having a bad day, but it dampened our experience of this place. 2. The Kaya toast was burnt to black (see pic). It tasted like old bread as well, and it was very dry inside. For $8.00, the quality was not worth it. Kaya jam was fine. 3. Coffee was below average, compared to other specialty coffee places. Tasted very watery with no body with a sour aftertaste. Not sure what the 5 star hype is about. Was excited to try, but now just disappointed. This was our experience, but I guess you gotta go try it yourself."
"This is the way. Carefully curated coffee from Core on offer with single origin filters and espressos. One of the finest selections around and well worth the trip to check out. Coffee bars and complex flavors to kick start the weekend brunch!"
