"Visited this place for brunch whilst shopping in Chadstone. The restaurant was busy, and we were told to wait for 5 minutes before we got our table. Service was commendable, but the big breakfast I had was dry and bland, which was disappointing. Portion was OK. Overall, it was a mediocre experience."
"A good café for anyone looking for a brunch eatery with nice ambience and aesthetic food presentation. Our second time eating here. We ordered: 2x Oat milk lattes 1x Prawn Benedict ($28) 1x Confit duck leg and pancake ($28) Portion: Consistent with most brunch serving sizes. A plate will leave you feeling just satisfied - perfect for those who want to dodge a food coma while they shop around Chadstone. Quality/Flavour: - The Prawn Benedict was extremely balanced. The prawns were packed with umami flavour, paired with a subtly smoky charcoal brioche bun and a light kick of cajun hollandaise. The eggs were perfectly poached and the Kipfler chips added a nice crispy texture to wrap it all up. Overall this dish is so dynamic it can hit the spot for anyone with even a limited taste palette. - The Confit Duck Leg and Pancake was served with caramelised onion and carrot puree and plum jam. The dish can be thought of as an adaptation of Peking Duck. Pancake was thicker than your usual Peking Duck (I preferred it thick with this dish). The duck skin was not as crispy as expected, the meat somewhat over salted and unfortunately the meat was dry throughout. Plum jam was nicely balanced with a fruity kick. Customer service: The customer service has been consistent on both occasions - friendly, inviting and helpful staff. We were asked whether we would be OK at one point to relocate to another table to allow a waiting family to utilise our slightly larger table. We were more than happy to move, the waitress was extremely grateful and put the drinks on the house which was a kind gesture. Recommendation: Would recommend Au79 overall, but would recommend selected dishes only!"
"Good service, great location and airy ambience. Meals prices are at a premium. My bacon on this particular occasion was overcooked but eggs were perfect. Coffee is well presented."
"The hygiene is very bad here. The food is ok. The glasses smell egg. They changed two times all egg smelly. When we asked for second time , Then the waiter went in back and cleaned the glass with table cloth towel and brought back!!! Food not to the expectation. No supervision."
"Had coffee and sweet here on a Monday or Tuesday. It got busy for a coffee rush but felt they were a bit disorganized as the barista was taking long time to find the dine in customers. Also the table water needs self service from the outside area but the water tap was facing inside, which made quite awkward help ourselves. At least preparing some bottles of water for the customers to pour. On the bright side the lemon tart was delicious and white coffee too"
