"Had a Christening party last night and I must say everything and and everyone at Mathew flinders are amazing!! Portia was just a pleasure to work with! Helped us in everything we needed. Provided us with her own personal mobile so that we could get in contact at any time! I would highly recommend Mathew flinders for an event! The victory room is brilliant with it’s own private entrance, toilets and smoking area! Thank you again for everything!"

"Service is quite poor the couple of times we have been. All the staff were nice enough when we eventually get service but it seems they are just under-staffed and running around disorderly. Lunch & dinner have been the same experience and although lunch was busy, it was probably 70% capacity. Took 10mins waiting at the front to be shown to the table. Staff saw us and others waiting but just seemed too busy to assist. Kids meal took an hour and came out only after asking at 45min mark. Menu items from dinner weren't seen at lunch session. Food is hit & miss but the cheesy garlic bread & arcade games have us returning!"

"Kids entertainment review. Age range: 3- 14 Price: $15+ This is a basic place to take kids if you want them entertained on the cheap. Essentially they have bowling, basketball arcade, general arcades/ video games, ticket games and a half decent play room. For around $15 they can get a game of bowling, get in around 7-10 arcade games and also win a prize (if they do any ticket items). The only down side is that bowling was faulty in one lane and a couple of the games were out of order. Overall though for kids under 10 this will keep them entertained for a while. We were there for around 2hrs and spent about $15. quite happy with the experience and they got a nice little toy to take home."

"The spirit of the local lives here. A very large hotel with a sports bar, family bistro and entertainment area and of course a slightly posh gaming area. Food is brilliant and good value for money. Regular events are held in the function rooms and big names often grace its walls. One of the hidden gems of the south east."

"I held my wedding reception at the board room. We had three-course meals and the food looks amazing and tastes delicious. Porscha, the function manager, helped a lot in planning and organsing everything. My husband and I had a really great experience and will definitely recommend Matthew Flinders Hotel and Porscha to our friends."
