Pause Restaurant

"It’s so disappointing to see the decline of Pause. It was once our local favourite, but since changing hands has declined substantially. We visited on a Thursday night and were given a cut back menu. We were one of two tables and yet, more recent customers were provided food before us. We won’t be going back anytime soon. We’ll try somewhere else from now on."

"We waited over 2 hours for mains to be delivered after being ushered to a corner table being told that even though we’d booked a table the ‘walk ins’ had priority. The bisque was a runny, stale and burnt tasting soup, not a bisque with the wrong ingredients and under cooked prawns. The ribs eventually came and were terrible and overcooked as were the potatoes. Like seriously, it’s a competitive market out there. If you’re going to charge top restaurant prices you better make sure you can deliver! This is the second time we’ve been there, we thought we’d give it the benefit of the doubt, we will definitely not be visiting a third time."

"We went there for dinner on the 27th of May for our anniversary, and loved it. Exceptional service. We were greeted by friendly staff, with big smiles and professional attitudes. The food was packed full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. We also found the prices reasonable. And loved how we didn't have to leave the table for any reason, even to pay."

"Nice spot in Samford for a relaxing meal. The wood fired pizzas were very tasty. A good selection of toppings were available. There's also an a la carte menu that is very seafood oriented. One minor gripe was that the bases were slightly undercooked and as such the slices fell apart. A minor issue as the flavour far outweighed the slight inconvenience. There's a good drinks menu to round out this comfortable spot. We'll definitely return."

"Usually, I still get a bit hungry after fine dining, but at this place, I was full. The lighting on these photos don't do these dishes justice, but they were all incredible. When we plan to drive up north, we'll visit again."
