Booking an appointment at one of our centres is easy. Simply call 9294 5777, and if you reach our answering machine, kindly leave a message and your call will be returned promptly. Please note that calls received after 2pm may be returned on the following business day.

During your visit, our experienced Maternal and Child Health centre nurse will conduct a thorough review of your child's health, growth, and development. Additionally, they will discuss your own health and address any concerns you may have as a new parent.

To ensure the well-being of your child, regular appointments with our Maternal Child Health Nurse are recommended over the next 3.5 years. To schedule an appointment, please call 9294 5777 when your child reaches each age milestone. These developmental checks align with the Victorian Government Maternal & Child Health Framework.

As part of the Maroondah City Council, we offer a range of services and information sessions designed to support the health of babies and alleviate the concerns of new parents. These sessions are regularly held and are free for Maroondah residents with young children. We are committed to providing a nurturing environment for both children and parents.

Our nurses are highly qualified, with backgrounds in general nursing and midwifery, as well as specialized training in Maternal and Child Health. They continuously update their knowledge and skills to provide you with the best possible care. Throughout your journey, you will visit a maternal and child health nurse at 10 key ages and stages from birth to three and a half years. Our nurses can assist you with a range of topics, including breastfeeding, feeding your child, sleep and settling, monitoring your child's growth and development, and offering support to help you navigate the challenges of parenthood.
