"Don't bother, My whole family has been to this medical centre but I haven't made a booking before so technically not a current patient. The online booking system said the 2 doctors had over 70 appointments available over the next 4 days but I was told they were not accepting any new patients as it may mean they won't have appointments for their current patients sometime in the future. Absolutely ridiculous."
"As a retired doctor I was pleasantly impressed by how this clinic functioned. Staff was welcoming and efficient and the doctor I saw (Dr) Nic allowed ample time without feeling rushed and management was comprehensive and knowledgeable. Overall a good experience. 18 March, 2021 I have owned a holiday home in Somers and since retirement family members probably stay in the Somers address 4 months of the year at least. My contact with the clinic has been very positive in the past as noted by reviews i posted. Unfortunately my contact with the clinic on 18 March, 2021 felt rude and unprofessional. Briefly, I understand the considerable pressure the pandemic has generated for running medical practices. The lady in the office offered me March 27 for corona virus vaccination but as my wife hadn't attended the clinic for a while, they required her medical details faxed from the Toorak clinic she attended. 30 minutes later i was rung by a man who said his name was SIMON. He did not clarify his role in the clinic but abruptly cancelled the March 27 appointment and said i also needed to send in a medical history as we were holiday makers and not locals. This ignored that Dr. Nic had taken a full history from me in the past and the fact we had owned our Somers property for 40 years--in his eyes we were just holiday makers. If Simon's unorofessional and inaccurate manner represents how the clinic sees us, then I need to reevaluate whether this is a clinic I want to attend. This is a shame as my contact with the clinic in the past impressed me. (Dr) Arthur Klepfisz APRIL 3, 2021 I would like to qualify my last review of 18 March,2021. my initial impression of this clinic was extremely positive and I found it to be thorough, professional and suppotive at the same time. I was subsequently troubled by a call from Simon who abruptly cancelled appointments made by the clinic for my wife and myself. He failed to see us as 'locals' even though we had our house in Somers for 40 years and I had been seeing Dr. Nick and given a comprehensive history. However I am pleased to say the clinic did make contact again and offered appointments to my wife and myself. The vaccinations were performed professionally in a supportive manner. I understand that this pandemic has created considerable stress for medical practices and the fact this clinic was able to get back on track so quickly without recriminations speaks highly of it. It would be good to speak to Simon again to clarify any difference of opinion that he may still have, but as far as I'm concerned the flexibility they showed and willingness to review was impressive. It has reassured me about my family continuing to view it as a highly desirable family practice."
"Yesterday my wife (Ann) and I received the anti-Covid vaccine "jab". The Covid-19 Team at the Centre were absolutely brilliant. It is a long time, if ever, that I have had such courteous, efficient and caring medical attention, including an unexpected but most welcome follow up call this morning. Congratulations and many thanks to the Staff of the Balnarring Medical Centre, and any other Staff involved in this excellent operation. I shall forward this praise to the office of Minister Greg Hunt. George Fink George Fink MB BS (Hons) MD DPhil FRCPE FRSE"
