Reviews
"One the great views of Melbourne across the bay. Has a real "township" atmosphere, yet close to cbd. The park itself is clean, well looked after, family oriented. Grab some fish & chips, picnic rug, lay on grass, soak the sun and enjoy the view all round."
"Beautiful gardens for a walk, picnic or just plain photography. Lots of greenery, with water views and a permanent ship museum for your backdrop. There's an abundance of restaurants on the road stretch to sit and enjoy these views. Very relaxed, gone for a holiday kind of feel here. The heritage buildings on the roadsides also make for an interesting exploration. Parking meter seem to only accept coins so come prepared!!"
"Nice park with grassed area's, shade trees during summer, rotunda, toilets and playground. Also a jetty to walk on which you will have a good view of Melbourne city, Westgate bridge, moored boats, an old Navy ship(which you can go aboard for a small fee, water taxi's and sometimes an old wooden sailing ship which does tours. There are many cafes and restaurants next the park and icecream shops. Once a month there is a craft market in the park which is good to visit. Check online for dates and details."
"Stopped here for lunch as part of our Yarra river cruise, 1 1/2 hour stop over between boats, lovely green park with plenty of shops close by, 2 fish and chip shops to choose from with in 100 meters of park entrance, plenty of seating and toilet facilities, even a tourist info centre in the park"
"Fantastic park in the middle of Williamstown CBD situated right against the water and Gem Pier. Great way to spend that day walking around and looking at the historical sight and also the retail shops nearby. Council had done a good job of keeping park clean and tidy, allowing picnics or taking in the sun. Public toilets and children's playground."
