"I approached the clinic quite distressed, with an abscess caused by an NDIS OT's bad recommendation. I had done my research on a referencable Ayurvedic Encyclopedia to ensure I was seeking the correct treatment. The credible website emphatically recommended the use of Triphala in combination with Guggula, stating that one would not work without the other. The woman who runs the place did not order in more of the treatment, which was originally both ingredients in the same bottle (Triphala + Guggula), which I only had two repeats of the treatment, until, for some reason, she had run out could only get one of them in, in a bottle by itself for the same price..... If I began seeing her in the September, and she knew I needed repeat bottles of both, why would she not order them in before I returned needing more knowing that I would likely need more than one repeat to clear the infection? This incident was about 3mths after my first contact with her, enough time to order in additional product to ensure she was treating her clients effectively. I cannot be the only person who has the same problem seeking treatment in the area. From what I've heard it's quite a common problem, especially since lockdown. All the local colonoscopists seem to be booked up well in advance. She then could not understand why I was so distressed and in a state of physical discomfort (as someone with autism!) after only having half the recommended medication for two weeks and the abscess had returned (...because she had only sold me half the medication for double the original cost)... Then, when I went to pick up some more of the product with my new carer, as I am disabled, the Ayurveda lady got really angry at me, because she decided that I was "questioning her 20 years of professional medical experience" rather than comprehending that I was telling her what had occurred to me as a direct result of her advice and treatment!!!!!!! Reprehensible. A ridiculous, hurtful miscommunication on her part and a confrontation that could have and should have been avoided. No apology from her. Incredibly disappointing. I've since found an excellent Ayurvedic clinic elsewhere (really, really wonderful place!) that I've had no issues with, including with translation problems."
