About the Business
Welcome to IPC Health - Victoria University, located at 233-235 Hoppers Lane, Werribee, Australia. As an establishment focused on health, we are a vital point of interest in the community.
Starting from 1 January 2023, if you require a PCR test, it is necessary to visit a GP respiratory clinic or obtain a referral from a GP to a private pathology provider. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals is ready to assist you if you fall into the high-risk category for severe COVID illness, are eligible for COVID medicines, or have concerns about your symptoms.
In addition, we are pleased to announce that we are running a walk-in Sunday vaccination hub at our Deer Park campus every Sunday until 25 June from 10am to 2pm. No appointments are required, and individuals without Medicare cards are welcome. Please note that supplies are limited, and we operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Currently, we offer COVID-19 Bivalent Vaccines (Moderna and Pfizer) and MPox vaccines.
For those with special requirements who are unable to visit a vaccination center, we provide at-home appointments. To book your first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, please call the COVID-19 hotline at 1800 675 398.
For more information about COVID vaccinations in Victoria, please visit www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/getting-vaccinated. Additionally, you can watch informative videos from local GPs, including those from IPC Health, on COVID vaccinations on the Wyndham City β Vaccines work Facebook page. Community leaders have also shared videos in various languages on COVID vaccinations on the Goodbye COVID β North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (nwmphn.org.au) website.
We are proud to showcase the incredible work of our Rapid Response Community Engagement Team and Bicultural Workforce. You can watch videos highlighting the efforts of our Unsung Heroes Bicultural Workers in the Indian and Sudanese communities on YouTube, as well as their work at the Chin Church.
During the Coronavirus pandemic, we have implemented several measures to prevent the spread of the virus, including adhering to physical distancing and hand hygiene guidelines, and maintaining enhanced cleaning practices. When you make an appointment, we will assess whether it will be conducted face-to-face or through telehealth options such as phone or video calls. We will send you a pre-appointment message to ensure your well-being, and upon arrival, we will screen you to prioritize your safety and the safety of our staff.
Please note that there is now a limit of one person accompanying you to your appointment. All staff on campus or providing off-site services will be wearing surgical masks, and clients will be required to wear a surgical mask upon entry. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided to you.
If you or anyone in your family is experiencing symptoms such as fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, loss of sense of smell or taste, headache, nausea, diarrhea, or myalgia (muscle pain), we kindly request that you reschedule your appointment and seek medical attention by contacting your GP or the hotline at 1800 675 398.
For those in need of counseling services, our IPC Health counselors are available to assist you. Sessions can be conducted over the phone or via digital video calls, allowing you to remain in the comfort of your own home. Additionally, videos in Vietnamese, Hindi, Dinka, Cantonese, and Mandarin with messages about the importance of mental health and the significance of getting vaccinated to defeat COVID-19 can be found on our website.
