"Review Northwest Psychology Services I came to this place looking for the best got assigned to a lady, who wasn't very welcoming, after frustrations with me not opening up after the first time saying you can leave if you have nothing to say. When i tried bring things up she would be dismissive of my comments rather than asking me to elaborate and empathising with me eg i have a terrible dr on that's always late. I then complained about this i was then receiving phone calls about this, very confrontational. The next appointment, I thought prior how could she go through that and still want to see me. The next time i went she rudely stated this isn't going to work is it. I also brought T&PDC (total and permanent disablement claim) with CareSuper for her to fill in, she immediately shared this with her colleagues laughing at me refusing to fill it in, because of this they called caresuper, which was after my appointment so she could charge me for the session knowing she wasn't going to fill it out which she kept secret, they proceeded to call CareSuper. Whilst i was waiting in waiting room i asked if i could wait in her rooms because i know the answer is yes from CareSuper whether she was required to fill it in, mind you my doctor had already filled it in section in about 20mins his only concern was i booked in for 10min session. I had to wait in waiting room for like 20min, now when the girl called there's two types of claims one is T&PDC the one i required, it requires two different drs or psychs to fill in two separate comprehensive forms and the other PDC(permanent disablement claim) only one medical practitioner(wider range) can fill in one simpler form. I tried telling them that they got it wrong the next day i called them which i was told what is stated above. I have never been so poorly treated before by psych who supposed to care about you, I'm also a TAC client with a permanent disability and a Centrelink disability pension as further proof of my disability. Anyway i have an awesome psych now at a much better place TAC has approved 20 sessions over the next tim two years and who I've been seeing for the last year. My CareSuper T&PDC was approved about 4 months after what has transpired here furthermore I received a ridiculous sum of money."
"I shared a review earlier tonight about being disappointed with the lack of communication. Since emailing them again today, I've been contacted by the principal clinical psychologist via email and phone. And had a really good chat with her. She was very apologetic and offered me lots of solutions and advice for moving forward."
"My experience with MJ has just been so incredible, the first health professional that's been able to give me what i need. Front desk staff are lovely, and being able to continue receiving treatment during the pandemic has been easy."
"On the 16th July, 2018, I went for my usual session with my therapist. On presenting my therapist with two emails that I wanted to discuss with her and get advice on how to handle what I was dealing with. After my therapist read the two emails, her whole attitude and demeanour towards me changed dramatically. I ask her for her advice and got told to focus on my own life. Up until this visit, I had put my whole trust in this therapist completely and felt comfortable and at ease with her and she had helped me immensely. My session finished, she didn't say goodbye and wish me well as would happen at the end of my other sessions (I have attended this service for some time) I walked out of Northwest Psychological Services that day feeling very deflated, confused and hurt. I will not attend this service in the future and I cannot recommend this service to anyone."
"I have my 3rd appointment booked in for thursday and so far have nothing but wonderful things to say about Kylie and her staff. Lovely to deal with, very helpful and very welcoming. Highly recommend!!!"
