"This medical centre is more like making money, visited there today for kids appointments and Dr. Aparna was late for 30 mins then she checked both my daughters and they both had fever, throat infection, ear infection but she still refused to give antibiotics. I told her that they are not Evan eating well but she said they’ll be ok in one week, let their immunity to fight. If I want that then why would I even bother to visit because I know my kids and I know they are suffering and Panadol, nurofen are doing nothing now. What I assume here now that they want more visits to make more money from appointments because she can clearly see that they need antibiotics. I agree not giving antibiotics if it’s only fever but when she saw that they have so many other infections then I don’t understand not giving the medicine. I would say not to visit them if you don’t want to waste your visit and get disappointment."
"The doctors are great. Unfortunately, the practice requires a fee on every interaction. I understand that it's a business that needs money to sustain operations but it's absurd to require another $71.20 ($30 if you are eligible for the Medicare rebate) to get pathology test results over the phone when it costs the practice nothing more when they're already paying for a monthly fixed line. I hope this practice would review its vision statement and align it's fee policy with it. Based on my experience, it cares more about profit than providing a professional service."
"I am happy with outstanding service from the available Doctors to the nurses. But I don’t like being lied to. If a doctor tells me that he will look after me and only bulk bill me for a pre existing injury which only requires dressing more than anything, that’s what I expect. I don’t expect to be charged. Furthermore that old rude receptionist in trugunina centre I think has reached her use by date and it’s time to go. I don’t appreciate being spoken to in a manner that provokes anger and frustration. She is so rude and speaks down to you. She has no customer service. Also when trying to resolve a payment issue which should have been bulk billed how the doctor said it would be I don’t like hearing the receptionist laughing in the background regarding my query. But overall I am happy with the service."
"Aside from Dr Nan who has been a fantastic GP, there is nothing positive about this clinic. For a practice that no longer bulk bills majority of their patients, why can’t you use that extra money generated to hire medical receptionists that are professional and have empathy? My family and I have been attending this clinic for more than 7 years and the attitude of your receptionists has been consistently horrendous. Their behaviour towards my mother last night takes the cake. Is employing disrespectful and racist receptionist part of the job for Palmer’s medical centre? My mother was having trouble receiving an eScript from Dr. Nan last night and instead of problem solving the issue (apparently ability to problem solve is clearly not part of the job description for the medical receptionist at palmers medical) they yelled at her saying that she has been calling too many times, made fun of her last name, and said that they can’t force the doctor to send the script. Honestly, I wish there was an option for me to post the call recordings, because clearly Palmers Medical is great at ignoring the many bad reviews about their receptionists and deflecting the blame back to the patient. Yes, my mother called three times yesterday, her appointment with Dr. Nan was at around three in the afternoon and she did not receive her eScript even though it was getting close to 8PM. She is a diabetic who is insulin dependent with other chronic issues and has not been able to eat much at all the past few days due to nausea and vomiting. She is incredibly unwell needed that antiemetic medication, to your receptionist to may not be big deal since it’s hard for amoral racists to have empathy for other older persons of colour. Another receptionist named Gale later called my mother last night and kept repeating to my mother as if my mother was an illiterate that the script is sent via SMS and not email despite my mother saying she had not received it, assuming that my mother had no idea how eScripts work. She did not give her a chance to speak, and my older sister Lalita ended up finishing that conversation instead with Gale that my mother did not receive the SMS and that their entire communication towards my mother was disgusting. The only thing Gale had to offer was “well do you want me to let Dr. Nan know to try sending it again?”, none of them even had any remorse with the way they had communicated. I don’t know Gale, as someone who is working as a medical receptionist, why not put your thinking cap on and think, what can we do to problem solve this issue instead being disrespectful? Maybe email a copy of the script if possible or offer a physical script that we can pick up if it’s not possible to email, maybe offer another option to get the eScript sent to another phone number, if you can assist with getting another phone number from us and pass it on to Dr. Nan, instead of yelling at my mother like she was not worth anyone’s attention or care. She is sick, do you think she would bother calling if her health issues were mild and manageable? We all age, one day I’m sure someone will treat you the same way you treated my mother, mock you, yell at you and treat you like a fool even though all you want is to get better. Dr. Nan had later resolved this issue by sending me the eScript instead which I was grateful for, however no pharmacies were open at that time in our area, so it was another night of nausea, vomiting, and hypoglycaemia for my mother. I don’t expect Palmer’s medical to take this complaint seriously or even care to re-train their receptionists. They will probably play the blame game as usual and protect their disgusting receptionists and that’s fine. We only put up with your awful receptionists these many years because we love the care we had received from Dr. Nan all these years, but after last night, it’s no longer worth paying to be treated this way. After we receive my mother’s blood test results, we won’t be coming back again."
"I have been a patient of Dr saima Hussain for a while now and she is an excellent doctor. She is a friendly face with kind heart and has sharp diagnosis. Her treatment is always extremely effective and I am very grateful to her."
