Sunbury Dog Park
About the Business
Welcome to Sunbury Dog Park, located at 69 Harker Street in Sunbury, Australia. Our establishment is a beautiful park that serves as a point of interest for dog owners and their furry companions.
Before you visit our park, it's important to be aware of the regulations set forth by Victoria's Domestic Animals Act 1994. According to this act, dogs in all public areas within the municipality are required to be under the control of their owners or supervisors. This means that owners are legally responsible for any injury or damage caused by their dogs.
At Sunbury Dog Park, we have designated off-leash areas where dogs are permitted to roam freely. However, owners must maintain effective control of their dogs and adhere to the relevant rules and regulations. Hume City boasts over 40 designated off-leash areas, and you can easily find the closest one to your home using our My Local Area mapping tool.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, it's essential to familiarize yourself with the specific rules and regulations of each off-leash area. Some locations are primarily intended for dog use, while others have restrictions due to shared use or time limitations.
It's important to note that there are also designated dogs prohibited areas throughout Hume City. These areas are in place to protect conservation areas, wildlife, and ensure safety. Examples of places where dogs may not be allowed include certain parks and reserves. You can view a comprehensive list of these areas on our website.
We would also like to acknowledge and pay respect to the rich Aboriginal heritage within the municipality. Hume City Council recognizes the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung, specifically the Gunung-Willam-Balluk clan, as the Traditional Custodians of this land. We celebrate and embrace Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander living cultures as an integral part of Australia's identity.
So, whether you're looking for a place to let your dog run free or simply want to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, Sunbury Dog Park is the perfect destination. Come and experience the joy of being in nature with your furry friend while respecting the rules and regulations that ensure the safety and well-being of all.

"A great place to tire my dog out and always lots of dogs there. There's lots of space for the dogs to run but no bits for them to escape. All the people there are very nice and I enjoy speaking to them. My dog never gets bored and I recommend to take your dog there."
"An excellent facility. Fully fenced, large, water and seating. A friendly crowd of mixed dogs and owners. Mad ten month old lab tells me its the best!"
"My puppy's first time out after her 3 vaccinations. She loved being off the lead. Made friends very quickly with another puppy,6 month old and bigger. It's nice and safe with the double gate. Quite clean, only saw 2 poo's not cleaned up. Bags and bins located at the gates. Looking forward to giving her exercise in a safe and clean park."
"Fantastic fenced exercise area for dogs with plenty of seating for owners & space to run around for pooches. Obstacle course as well! Very clean, plentiful supply of doggy waste bags & fresh running water for all (including furry friends). Highly recommend!"
"No prickles or grass seeds, what a massive plus for the doggies. Good shade, agility equipment, benches, trees and lovely smelling wood chips to rumble in. Big plus is its on a hill so it wears the dogs out running up and down. Only one water tap, this park could do with another. Overall a doggies playtime facility that ticks all the boxes."
