If your General Practitioner has placed you on a Mental Health Care Plan, you may be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate on ten 50-minute appointments per calendar year. Additionally, some private health insurers offer rebates for accessing Clinical Psychologists, depending on your level of cover. We recommend speaking with your health fund to determine what services you may claim. Please note that a 24-hour notice must be given prior to cancellations to avoid being charged the full fee. Medicare cannot be claimed on missed or cancelled appointments.

Our lead Clinical Psychologist, who has been practicing since 2006, brings a wealth of experience to our institution. With a background in community mental health teams in both urban and rural hospitals, they have a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health. Their qualifications include a BA in Psychology, a Grad Dip in Applied Psychology, and a Master of Clinical Psychology. They are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist (PSY0000986650) and an Endorsed Clinical Psychologist.
