During our thorough 'on site' inspection, our Pool Safety Inspector will assess your barrier against the requirements of the applicable Australian Standard. This includes checking your pool safety barrier, including fencing, gates, windows, retaining walls, boundary fences, and any other item that contributes to the safety barrier, preventing unauthorized access to the pool area. The outcome of the inspection will be documented in a detailed electronic report.
Our qualified inspector will then re-inspect the barrier to determine if the non-compliance issues identified in the original inspection have been repaired and whether the barrier has been made compliant. If the barrier remains non-compliant, but progress has been made by the owner to rectify the issues, the inspector may provide a further period of up to 7 days before a further re-inspection is required (additional cost).
Upon completion of the inspection and necessary repairs, we will issue you a Certificate of Compliance once your pool barrier complies with the Australian Standard. It is important to note that pool safety barrier certification is now mandatory in Victoria. To avoid any issues, delays, or claims before real estate settlement or entering into a new lease, it is essential to obtain an up-to-date certificate.
