"The people here are wonderful. We had come, without a booking, later, and the kitchen had closed. However, they were nice enough to offer the four of us a seat. We ordered the tuna, crab pasta, which (understandably) did not have the Uni, of which we were warned beforehand, the lamb and the sirloin steak. Overall, the food was wonderful, but the lamb was slightly too chewy. Midway throughout the lunch, a glass from the table tipped over and broke all over my colleague’s pants, and several staff immediately came over and cleaned it up, even offering to replace the apple juice (for free), and, as we were staying upstairs in the Capella Hotel, offered to go up and get another shirt for us. Overall, I would most definitely return ."
"I will be back for more. I wanted to try everything on the menu but with the 2 of us we could only order a fraction of what I desired. Everything was amazing! To the decor, the cutlery, the Crockery, all details were appreciated. The only thing was I felt the service was missing a little something. Not as attentive as you’d expect at a restaurant like this. For example, I had to constantly ask for refill of water instead of them coming to fill up my glass when it was empty (and it would be empty for a long while)."
"Gorgeous venue, attentive (at times overly attentive) staff at Brasserie 1930. The food was very tasty and the menu was extensive however the temperature of the food that arrived at our table just wasn't hot enough and especially the cod which was disappointing. Its not what I would expect from a place connected to Bentley especially for the price we paid. There was so much to like about the bistro, we started with the spanner crab pasta, then the Murray River Cod plus the lamb but please lets make it hotter next time."
"Amazing! The hotel is a bit whatever-trevor and after paying over $50 for one Old Fashioned in the bar across from Brasserie 1930 we were a bit skeptical. But as soon as we entered the restaurant doors we were greeted with with friendly welcoming smiles and warm friendly service. The food was hands down right up there with the best of the best. We had the freshest tastiest Sydney oysters followed by the duck for 2 and then dessert almost knocked my socks off. The chocolate Mille-feuille with was insanely good. Cocktails and wine were well-recommended and nowhere near the posh prices of the hotel bar. The service was friendly, welcoming and genuine. We’ll be back in a heartbeat on our next visit to Sydney. PS - OMG the bread and butter. The butter was such a perfect silky smooth room temp, cultured, and with the most delicate salt flakes throughout."
"Oh boy, let me tell you about the duck dish I devoured at this restaurant! It was an absolute delicious . Seriously, the best duck my crew and I have ever laid our taste buds on. The flavors were like a heavenly symphony in my mouth, and the way it was cooked...pure perfection. The cozy lighting, the stylish decor, and the vibe? Oh, it was pure magic! We couldn't help but raise our glasses (multiple times, might I add) to the fantastic ambiance and their extensive wine list"
