About the Business
Welcome to Jack Hort Memorial Community Pool, located at 10 Camerons Road in Healesville, Victoria. Our aquatic facility is a beloved establishment in the community, offering a range of activities and services for all ages.
At Jack Hort Memorial Community Pool, we prioritize the importance of swimming lessons and water safety. Our GOswim program focuses on teaching essential life skills and ensuring that everyone in our community has the knowledge and confidence to stay safe in the water. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced swimmer, our qualified instructors are here to guide you on your swimming journey.
We understand that supervision is crucial when it comes to water activities, especially for children. As a parent or carer, we encourage you to actively supervise your children in the water. For children under 5, it's important to keep them within arm's reach, while children under 10 should be under active visual supervision.
Membership and visit pass options are available at Jack Hort Memorial Community Pool, catering to the needs of all individuals and families. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of swimming and aquatic activities.
Our community pool has a rich history, having been cooperatively built by the Healesville Shire, Healesville High School, and the Rotary Club of Healesville. With the support of community members and tradespeople, the pool was able to be constructed at a fraction of the estimated cost. In 2006, the pool was renamed in honor of Jack Hort, a driving force behind its creation.
The Yarra Ranges Council plays a significant role in supporting the running costs of the pool, along with funding from user fees, Healesville High School, the Support Healesville Indoor Pool (SHIP) group, and generous donations from corporations and the public.
Jack Hort Memorial Community Pool is a place where people of all ages and abilities can come together for recreation, rehabilitation, skill development, and enjoyment. Whether you're looking to improve your fitness, recover from an injury, or simply have fun in the water, our facilities are designed to meet your needs.
Swimming is not only a refreshing activity but also has numerous health benefits. It is an integral part of many people's lifestyle routines. However, it's important to be aware of the environment and potential safety risks. We encourage you to read more about safe swimming surroundings to ensure an incident-free experience.
Swimming with companions is always recommended as it reduces the risks associated with swimming alone. Having immediate assistance, avoiding accidents, and recognizing potential health risks become easier when responsible peers are around. It's especially important for children and weak or non-swimmers to swim safely with others.
We are excited to announce that Waterways Safety Week will be incorporated into our GOswim lessons from 12th to 18th June. Our GOswim friends have been preparing to teach you and your child important water safety skills and strategies for various waterways, including beaches, lakes, and rivers. Learning how to stay safe in different water environments can have life-saving benefits.
Visit us today at Jack Hort Memorial Community Pool and experience the best health and leisure experiences possible. Our friendly staff and state-of-the-art facilities are here to provide you with a memorable swimming experience.

Reviews
"Lovely little local pool! No crowds and staff are friendly."
"Great swimming pool. Would be better if there were dry areas for parents but unless an extension is done it's not possible, would be good though then a canteen can be put in too. Staff are great, although some issues due to the new management and new systems but nothing worth complaining about. All in all its great for the kids to have a swim and do their lessons."
"Love coming to this pool! It's a great size, plenty of room for lap swimmers as well as those who do more hydrotherapy or even when school groups come through. Plenty of benches around the pool, good non-slip flooring and enough toilets and room in the change rooms too. The staff are really helpful and the showers are lovely and hot."
"I go swimming at the pool with my grandchildren and my daughter. Always clean, friendly staff. Love my time with my family"
