About Queens Park
Welcome to Queens Park, a captivating establishment located at Healesville, Don Road, 36 in Australia. As a picturesque park and prominent tourist attraction, Queens Park offers a range of engaging experiences and services to both locals and visitors alike.
At Queens Park, we value community engagement and strive to provide a platform for residents to actively participate in shaping the Yarra Ranges region. We encourage you to share your feedback and ideas on current projects, enabling us to collaboratively mold the future of our community.
For those interested in art and culture, we are delighted to host the National Photographic Portrait Prize exhibition at the Yarra Ranges Regional Museum until September 3, 2023. This captivating showcase of talent offers FREE entry, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of portraiture.
If you require technical assistance, our knowledgeable Tech Support Officers are available for 45-minute one-on-one sessions at your local Eastern Regional Library. With flexible scheduling options, we aim to provide convenient support for all your tech-related needs.
Yarra Ranges is proud to participate in a friendly competition amongst Melbourne councils to contribute the most species to iNaturalist during September. Join us in documenting the diverse flora and fauna of our region, and help us showcase the rich biodiversity that makes Yarra Ranges unique.
Furthermore, we are committed to addressing any issues that may arise within our community. If you come across a blocked or damaged drain, water runoff, or any drainage concerns, please report them to us so that we can promptly resolve the matter.
Additionally, if you experience a missed garbage, recycling, or garden organics collection, we encourage you to inform us, ensuring efficient waste management services for all residents.
For those looking to engage with the Council, we provide various avenues to voice your opinions, ask questions, or lodge petitions. We value your input and are dedicated to creating an inclusive and transparent decision-making process.
Exciting changes are also taking place in our waste management practices. Starting from October 2, 2023, the new Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) collection will make it easier than ever to reduce waste and divert valuable materials from landfills. Weekly FOGO bin collections will transform your garden clippings and food scraps, including meat and bones, into compost, effectively reducing harmful greenhouse gases.
Bin deliveries and lid changes will commence from July to September, ensuring a smooth transition to the FOGO collection system.
If you have any queries regarding waste charges on your rates notice, we provide detailed information on what these charges entail and how they contribute to sustainable waste management practices.
In addition to our commitment to the environment, we are thrilled to announce the upcoming official opening of Mooroolbark's Community Garden on September 2. This exciting project aims to foster community engagement and promote sustainable gardening practices.
We are also seeking community feedback on the redevelopment of the underutilized space at Belgrave Tennis Club, with the goal of transforming it into a vibrant community hub that meets the needs of Belgrave residents.
Furthermore, we invite the community to participate in the development of an upcoming draft Masterplan for the Upwey Town Centre. Your input will help shape future improvements and ensure that Upwey remains a thriving and vibrant hub within Yarra Ranges.
Yarra Ranges Council is proud to be named as finalists in two award categories in the 2023 Cities Power Partnership Climate Awards. This recognition reflects our dedication to climate action and sustainability, as we strive to create a greener and more environmentally conscious community.
Lastly, we acknowledge and pay our respects to the Wurundjeri and other Kulin Nations as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which Yarra Ranges Council operates. We honor all Elders, past, present, and emerging, who have played a vital role in shaping our region's history. Together, we share custodianship of the land, working collaboratively to care for Country.

Reviews of Queens Park
"Good park and playground with toilets and is big with river."
"Nice clean area has a dog area, skate park, swimming pools next to footy oval overall was a great place to be with the sun out would recommend even just for a short walk near the stream"
"Nice park, however very few walking tracks lead anywhere, either takes you in a circle back to carpark or is a dead end. Requires more picnic tables"
"A large and relaxing park with a great children's playground suitable for all ages. Located near the Beechworth Bakery and great for walking from there with snacks. The children's playground was fairly busy and had lots of equipment including a zipline and large climbing structure."
"Good and relaxing park for kids and family. Lots of play options to choose from range of rides from range age from toddler to teena. Zipline swings etc"
