Reviews of Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre
"Horrible experience here! One of the only pools that I have been too that don’t allow babies in the warm pool, plus you have to pay extra for half of the facilities (which wasn’t offered when we attended for the first time). Argumentative reception staff. We expressed our disappointment and staff argued with us even whilst we walked away. We were told there was half a warmer pool to use in the other area or to go on the playground with our 5 month old baby. There was not even a quarter of the warmer pool available to use due to swimming lessons however half the lanes weren’t even being used at the time but still unavailable to us. Kids were jumping/bombing in the pool which was only a metre deep. You had one lifeguard telling kids off for jumping in (obviously due to the signs saying “no diving” and pool safety in general) then you had another lifeguard encouraging children to jump/dive in. Then proceed to come over to us and say “if we didn’t like splashing in the pool we could use another area”. Splashing is not an issues you expect that at a pool but a lifeguard encouraging children to use the shallow pool in a unsafe manner is not acceptable. Will not return here again. First time there and definitely the last. Overpriced, facilities not available. Horrible staff except one of the young male life guards."
"We were not able to use most pools due to swimming lessons during peak time on a Sunday making the small pool completely overcrowded. Also the one other pool we could use had no heating whatsoever. It was freezing. Also have to pay for parking & if you forget due to trying to get 2 toddlers out of the car safely they are quick to fine you. This during a cost of living crisis is dispicible. The fact we werent able to use most pools makes that even worse. Profit over quality. Do not recommend this pool at all. I have never been so disappointed with a pool before. My boys have so much more fun at Casey Race pool as you get to actually use most of the pools."
"I’ve spent many years trying to find a gym that’s right for me and I’m so glad I’ve found Parc! The classes are AWESOME! They have such a great selection at flexible times and the instructors are the just the best - always super motivating, energetic and take the time to make sure you’re looked after. I personally don’t use the gym or the pool/spa/sauna aspect but it’s great that they have these available. You also get a lot out of your membership and for a reasonable price. The only downside is that the gym is always busy but it just goes to show just how much it’s loved! A big thank you to the team for creating such a powerful space, keep it up!"
"We have regular swimming lessons and love being able to play before and after the lessons in swallow pool and playground. The instructors are great. We particular love Kate, she's fantastic with the kids, making sure they are safe, follow directions but continues to hold their attention and build trust."
"Very good for the kids and has really good facilities, the hydro area is exceptional with a decent size sauna and steam room. Hydro pool wich is heated, and a big 50 metre pool, the kids play area is really good too. And a choice of 2 big ater slides."
