"BUYER BEWARE! I wish I had read the reviews prior to engaging with this business and I may have saved myself the huge headache and stress prior to my wedding. It seems the issues I faced are reoccurring issues over the years that have not been rectified which is a real shame the company is not taking the feedback on board and writing the same generic reply to all the reviews here. In July I went into this store and found the dress for my 4 bridesmaids. Was told by the assistant that I needed to put down a deposit to secure the style in case the manufacture stopped producing this style by the time I placed my order and was told as long as I confirm which sizes and colour of the dress I wanted by September, that would allow the 4 months for the dresses to come into store. The first week of September I got a phone call to say my 4 dresses had arrived in store, I advised them I had not yet place my order as I had not told them which sizes or colour I wanted and had only paid a deposit. I advised I would be in by the end of September to place my order and confirm the colour. End of September I went into store to place my order and advised them of the 4 sizes and colour and paid a further deposit as requested by the shop assistant. Received a phone call in December to ask if I was coming to pick up my order of 4 dresses that were in store, only to find out these were not my dresses, they were still the wrong ones that I had received a call about prior to even placing my order. At this time I asked the shop assistant to check the order that I came into store to confirm had in fact been placed as it was now December, 3 months after I had placed my order and my wedding was in April. I was advised by the assistant that the shop did not have an ordering process in place and it’s just a matter of speaking with whoever you placed the order with in store (I found this very hard to believe being a dress shop?) I was told to call back on a Tuesday or Sunday and the lady who works then will be able to help me. Kept calling and never had a call back after leaving messages, and when I finally got through to the ‘lady looking after my order’ I was told ‘It says here you have been phoned to advise your dresses will be arriving late April to early May die to a covid outbreak in the factory’ I had not been phoned and my wedding was in April. I phoned the manufacturer to confirm why a covid outbreak had caused a 5 month delay on the dresses, only to be told they did not have a covid outbreak and she didn’t know what I was talking about. Due to now being March, 4 weeks prior to my wedding, I was forced to pick up the wrong dresses and pay out of pocket $100 per dress to have them significantly altered. After emailing and phoning the company about my experience to discuss further, I am still waiting on a response and a resolution and we are now in July, 3 months after my wedding. My recommendations to the owner/manager of this business is to invest in some training of your staff in customer service and put a new ordering system in place to stop what happened to me and other brides in the future. This is unacceptable."
"I would advise anyone who is considering to purchase a dress from this store to run the other way. BUYER BEWEAR!!!! I purchased a dress ($400) for a wedding and once having it dry cleaned it was very clear the fabric was faulty. The dry cleaner provided me with a letter along with another letter from a tailor that assessed the damage. I emailed and called Daniela’s and followed their instructions to bring it in for assessment with their “highly trained” consultants. From the moment I arrived the consultant was rude, aggressive and the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered in customer service. This was incredibly surprising to me as I was very polite and calm. After literally being kicked out I emailed head office with my experience and asking for a resolution to my problem. 3 weeks passed until I had a response to my email asking me to go to their other location (which is 1 hr away) for another assessment of the dress. Keep in mind this is only after I threatened legal action. After further research it was very clear that my rights were a replacement or refund, especially after allowing them to assess the dress and having documentation from a tailor as well as the dry-cleaner. If Only I saw the reviews on this so called “business” earlier I never would’ve walked in. Given the disgusting way I was treated you would’ve thought head office would’ve tried to be more helpful. 1 star rating is far too generous for this so called business. Maybe some much needed training in customer service, loyalty and integrity would be very recommended and very much needed!"
"Very disappointing experience. I purchased a gown at this shop and BUYER BEWARE, they do not do refunds, and this was not told to me at the time of purchase. I went home and re-tired the dress on, it did not fit well at all. I called the store within 7 days of purchase and they refused a refund! The dress in perfect condition apart from the hem coming undone. It was brand new with tags. Do not purchase from this store, horrible service for any grievances you may have!!!"
"Really REALLY bad service. I don't know how a business can run like this. Ignoring calls and not calling me back to follow up my questions. If you have a special occasion (like bridesmaids dresses in our case) then prepare to be disappointed and to be promised things that just aren't true. They always had an excuse for why our dresses weren't here, but the reality is they just don't care. Well done you have successfully made less than a week before a wedding more stressful because of your inability to be organised and inability to care about your customers."
"Do not buy from Daniela’s. You’d be doing yourself a favour! We ordered bridesmaids dresses and a mother of the bride dress back in June. With 4 days to the wedding the bridesmaids dresses are still not ready! To make things worse, not once did Daniela’s contact us to tell us that the dresses would not be ready. Our fault for trusting such a terrible company. In October we were chasing up the dresses and since October we have been told “yep they’ll be ready this date, then this date” three date changes and 4 days to the wedding and still nothing! Daniela’s said they would refund us and do the alterations on the mother of the bride dress should we find back ups, in 4 days mind you! So we frantically found dresses which Danielas didn’t think we would, after already pinning the mother of the bride dress for alterations they decided they actually weren’t going to alter her dress because we were getting a refund on the non existent bridesmaids dresses. Not once did they follow up with us, not once did they say, “hey, we forgot to order your dresses, that was our stuff up, you better find some dresses”. Instead they strung us along, lying to us, their story changed constantly and their reasoning was that J’adore (the brand of dress) stockist was not operating. Well as we’ve been trying to find other dresses, many other retailers who also stock J’adore have been shocked at this response and have told us Daniela’s is lying to us, J’adore has been open the whole time! So do you’re self a favour, especially if for a special event, go to another store and save yourself from this experience. They are liars, rude and extremely unprofessional."
