"Booked our Ford Ranger for pinkslip, my wife drove the car to Goodwin's and was told that it didn't pass because "licence plate wasn't visible on front" and "headlights were on highbeam and not lowbeam". We then took the car to another mechanic and showed him the report to which he laughed and said "thats a joke, its got 33" tires and a 2" lift, ofcourse the lights will look like they are on high beam" and to the licence plate he said "I can read it from every angle I need to". Needless to say it passed with flying colors. Mechanics who follow "guidelines" in inspecting cars literally cannot be trusted. either they are being pedantic, or they are hoping you don't know any better and come back for it to be fixed. Either way, don't trust these blokes."
