"I used to really love portmans but I've just had too many poor experiences there lately. The staff are nice enough, however don't greet as a priority and also don't check on customers in the change rooms to see if they need sizing etc. They also offer no help I'm finding specific items. I went in specifically looking for a new dress for an event and was holding about 10 in my arms and no one offered to put them in a change room for me so I could freely look around. When I was trying them on I had to shout from the change room for assistance to do a zip up as no staff were down the back end and I gave up waiting on someone to come down. While I used to find their range unique from similar brands, but it seems they have started to go down the cookie cutter route for styles as well. Another inconvenience is that they seem to pile every single piece of stock onto an already crammed floor. Such a shame."

"On Sunday 30/1/22 at 10:20 am, the customer service lady (Nina) was incredibly rude. I was disappointed in the way she treated me. Initially, I went to Portmans to buy a dress and I asked Nina if Portmans do steaming because I bought a top online and I intend to wear it at work but it is creased and I do not want to ruin it by ironing it. Nina replied, «  I cannot do it here. You have an iron, don’t you?  So you can do it yourself! Yes? ». I wasn’t disappointed by the fact that I didn’t get what I asked for but I was upset by her reply. The way Nina replied to me was condescending, patronising and disrespectful. Nina did not give me any other option. Saying that, I did not want to reply as it is not my attitude to argue or be disrespectful. On top of that, Nina put my dress inside out in the bag without folding it properly. On a different note, customers can get their items steamed at another retail shop as long as they bought it from that particular shop."

"Came into the store 09/02 with pics of my phone of three dresses I was hoping to buy, two staff members at the door were chatting, looked at me and continued chatting, laughing - no greeting. Another blonde lady was in the middle of the store with a notepad, looked at me and went the other direction. I wandered around the store and found one of the dresses I came in for, but no staff to point me to the change rooms or assist me with finding the other two dresses I came to the store - to the shopping centre - specifically for. Horrible service - I put the dress back and left, literally I was in the store for 5-10 minutes and NOBODY spoke to me. Don't go here - arrogant, rude staff."
