At Glenroy Central Primary School, we hold a deep respect for the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, who are the Traditional Owners of the land upon which our school stands. We pay our utmost respect to their Elders, both past and present.

As a SunSmart School, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students. In Terms 1 and 4, all students are required to wear a broad-brimmed hat to protect them from harmful UV rays. You can even check the temperature and UV levels for today on the widget located at the bottom of this page.

We take our duty of care seriously and are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children and young people at our school. Regardless of age, culture, beliefs, socio-economic circumstances, disability, family living situation, child rearing practices, or educational level, every student is valued and supported.

In collaboration with the Glenroy Hub, we have participated in the From the Word Grow Project, a health and well-being program held in April-June 2022. As part of this project, artists from Glenroy Central Primary School have created illustrations for the Cohealth Community Cookbook. You can download this recipe booklet to explore delicious and nutritious recipes.

To promote mindfulness and support our students, we have partnered with Smiling Minds, a non-profit web and app-based meditation program developed by psychologists and educators. Smiling Mind offers a Digital Care Pack designed to assist children during COVID-19 and beyond. Incorporating mindfulness into their lives can greatly benefit their overall well-being.

Furthermore, we offer a Homework Club, providing a quiet, safe, and supportive space for students to complete their homework.
