About the Business
Welcome to Harry's Café de Wheels - Liverpool! Located at 20 Orange Grove Road, our institution has been proudly serving customers for over 80 years. With a rich history and a reputation for delicious food, we are not just a bakery or a restaurant, but a true point of interest in the heart of Australia.
Harry's Café de Wheels was founded by Harry "Tiger" Edwards, a man with a passion for good food and a determination to provide a late-night snack option for hungry souls. His frustration in finding a satisfying meal led him to open a caravan café near the front gates of Woolloomooloo naval dockyard in Sydney. Despite the challenges he faced with local city council regulations, Harry boldly named his establishment 'Harry's Café de Wheels'.
The nickname "Tiger" was earned by Harry through his courage and boxing skills, and it became synonymous with his iconic pie. The famous 'Tiger' pie, still served at our original location in Woolloomooloo, has been enjoyed by esteemed individuals like Frank Sinatra, Sir Elton John, and even Prince Harry himself. As our popularity grew, we expanded our presence with outlets across the globe, including our growing fleet of caravan cafés that move a "little" more than 12 inches a day.
At Harry's Café de Wheels - Liverpool, we strive to evoke a sense of nostalgia with every bite. Each mouthful is a reminder of Harry's humble beginnings and the rich history that accompanies our institution. Whether you're a long-time fan or a first-time visitor, we aim to provide you with an unforgettable experience that leaves you craving for more.
So come on down to Harry's Café de Wheels - Liverpool and indulge in our iconic pies and other mouthwatering offerings. We guarantee that you'll feel the warmth of tradition and the satisfaction of a truly satisfying meal.

Reviews
"Having only one person serving, filling the pie warmers and making coffee is ridiculous. Only two customers in front of me. Both wanted coffee which showed things down. I was only waiting for a pie. When the customer in front of me finished his large order, the lady decided now was a good time to fill the pie warmer which meant I had another 10 minutes wait. In total 30 minutes wait for one pie is not"fast food""
"Many locations, but this one serves great food; the way it should be..."
"such an amazing place, i highly recommend it! the 2 male servers were wonderful human beings who made us feel welcome here. we ordered 2 tiger pies and although there was a short waiting time, they were fresh, hot and delicious. very unique and you cannot find anything like it anywhere else. you can definitely not go wrong with this chain!"
"Decent pies, although they could do a bit better with the quality control, as we both got a piece of fat/gristle. I'd avoid the custard tarts, which look to be made from custard powder rather than real eggs. There is plenty of outdoor seating and dedicated customer parking."
