"Tried this cafe for the first time today. In what seems like years I finally got what I so miss from a cafe, good food, good service. Ordered the cheeseburger & a milkshake. All I can say is wow. Food is so fresh the burger was delicious & the milkshake spot on it even came in the old fashioned stainless steel cup. This place is awesome can’t wait to go back again soon. It’s the simple things right? Thanks."

"Wrote a review about a negative experience this morning with an employee and had an equally arrogant response from the owner. It was our first time at Top Shop (wanted to try out a new place). Completely understand rushing to set up when understaffed but an abrasive response to 'Are we too early for coffee?' and then blatantly ignoring a simple question of 'what time do you open' is rude (especially as we arrived just on opening time according to the business hours on Google) If you're new to the area there are so many businesses in the local area that are warm, welcoming and respectful when they're in the same situation and even busier. Save yourself the hassle and look up Next Door, Cony's, Grind, Blackwoods or Barefoot on the Beach. Great coffee and beautiful staff."

"Ordered two iced coffees. Asked for cup tray. Young girl goes to hand me the cup tray. Cup tray has not one, not two, but THREE COCKROACHES ALIVE AND CRAWLING ALL OVER THE CUP TRAY! she continues to hand me the tray. It wasn’t busy. I was literally the only customer there in the arvo. I politely asked her for a new cup tray even though I just wanted to walk out. She said yes. I’m not even mad at the young girl, she is clearly learning and inexperienced. I’m mad at the supervisor she went to to show the cup tray too. This woman didn’t even apologise, didn’t even acknowledge the fact that I was just handed a cup tray covered in bugs. She just handed me a new one. Poor training and even worse customer service. If we have bugs crawling over our takeaway trays then that also signals to me sub-par cleanliness and hygiene. As a hospitality worker I was shook. Chef and owner also bickering in front of me about trading hours and communication errors. Do better! P s. Reading through your reviews I am horrified at the lack of accountability and the disrespect towards customers and their feedback. Very disappointing to see"

"It’s a shame, it’s our third time here but service is going down. The wrap wasn’t toasted from what I asked and the teen who’s working there came to me and said that I should go up and ask them to toast them. I’m like, seriously?? does he know what he’s supposed to do? and this teen guy came with the coffee all over the cup and saucer. Ridiculous. End up having it as take away cause I can’t stand this teen guy face."
