Mill Park Preschool
About the Business
Welcome to Mill Park Preschool, located at Mill Park Drive, 7A in beautiful Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we have been empowering and inspiring Melbourne's children and young people since 1883. Formerly known as TRY Australia, we are now known as Sparkways! Find out more about this exciting change and how it may affect you on our website.
At Mill Park Preschool, we strive to create an environment where children can thrive and grow. Our dedicated educators are passionate about nurturing each child's confidence and independence. We have seen firsthand the positive impact our program has had on children like Evie, who has settled in well and is enjoying her time at kinder. We believe that families play a crucial role in a child's education, and we welcome and value their opinions, culture, and background.
As a community-oriented preschool, we acknowledge and respect the Traditional Owners and ongoing custodians of the land, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We are grateful to the Wurundjeri People for sharing their land with us, and we promise to care for it, the animals, and the people who inhabit it.
The safety and wellbeing of children and families are of utmost importance to us. We encourage children to take responsibility for their own health and physical well-being, as well as show appreciation and care for the environment. We believe that involving the broader community in our kindergarten program helps children feel connected and secure in their surroundings.
For over 40 years, Mill Park Preschool has been providing education and care to families in the heart of Mill Park. Located near Aquastyle Swim School, Mill Park Drive Maternal Health Centre, and Mill Park Primary School, we are conveniently situated within the community. Our warm and welcoming environment encourages children to express themselves, enjoy their time at kinder, and develop a love for learning.
We offer two groups: the 3-year-old Green Group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8.30am to 12.30pm, and the 4-year-old Blue Group meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8.30am to 1.30pm. In 2023, the Victorian Government is making kindergarten programs free for three and four-year-old children, saving families up to $2,500 per year. We are proud to be a part of this initiative and provide accessible education to all.
At Mill Park Preschool, we understand that every child is unique and develops at their own pace. Toilet training is not a requirement for attendance, and our educators are here to support you and your child throughout the process. We also prioritize sun safety and provide child-friendly sunscreen, but feel free to bring your preferred brand if your child has sensitive skin.
We believe in celebrating diversity and valuing the lived experiences of all individuals. We pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of the land and recognize the children and young people as emerging leaders of tomorrow.
Join us at Mill Park Preschool and be a part of a supportive and inclusive community that empowers and inspires Victoria's children and young people.
