Craigieburn West YMCA Early Learning Centre

"Hi guys We have worse experience with YMCA CRAIGIEBURN west early childhood Centre. We have enrolled our little baby with them for one day. They have the worse staff without the knowledge of work ethic, customer service and knowledge of early learning childhood kids needs and care. My baby first day when I been there to picked her up at 5 pm I noticed that my baby has something in her mouth. I also noticed that they put all the children in one room altogether doesn’t matter what’s the age group of they are. When I asked them why did you put the baby with elder kids then she replied we are doing a family grouping together. When I been to room 3 to picked up my baby I checked what is in her mouth and I found she has a big piece of wooden bark. My baby was sitting on the floor and the educator was sitting with our baby along with many other different age group children and was not aware what’s going on with the baby. when I asked to the educator she replied that she didn’t know coz she has to handle 12 kids at a time. When we discussed with the manager and staff that anything could happen coz baby has a big Wooden bark in her mouth. It can chock her even could hurt her or could lead to the hospital and could happen anything with her coz it is a life threatening incident. They started arguing with me a lot even all of their staff came together and said we will not guarantee it will not happen again in the future. They said including their manager it will happen again and definitely will happen again & again in the future.If you want you can remove your baby from our centre. Even their staff doesn’t know what is their duty with early age babies and the other different age group children too. We are sending our kids in their care and thinking they are safe so that we can work but in actual they are in dangerous environment in the care of YMCA CRAIGIEBURN West children centre. We were freighted from their staff behaviour and care and we been to depression and couldn’t sleep few days since the incident happen.sorry for the long blog/ post."

"I chose YMCA for my daughter when she was 21 months old - had recently changed her country, did not know the local language and even the local food was totally new to her. Staff at YMCA took extremely good care of her and always treated her with so much love that in no time she started to feel like home over there. Now when it came to choose a day care for her brother who is 17 months, although YMCA was my first choice, I was so happy to see my daughter speak up and suggest YMCA for him and I feel glad almost everyday when she says “I wish I could go back to ymca with him” - Thanks to each and everyone and special mention to Kylie who has always welcomed my requests,queries and has done to the max of her capacity to help us out."

"Being one of the oldest centre in the area and being run by YMCA I found it extremely trustworthy in the community; specifically when we did a bit of research for enrolling our kids most of suggestions had one name YMCA. Fortunately we never had to regret on our decision. Staff is amazing; although I think I am a bit picky for anything about my kids but staff was always welcoming to listen to any feedback. Regular updates were provided for kids through their App. Occasionally I had to drop kids for long hours but never had a worry, kids just come out laughing when you go out to pick them up. Never had any complaints with learning environments, seems well equipped. Can’t expect anymore. Great work team YMCA Craigieburn."
