Reviews
"I never anticipated giving a one-star review, but I believe my feedback can be constructive. Both the chicken in our bento box and the Japanese curry were below par. I discussed with Mimi (as per the receipt) that the chicken felt a bit thawed. I asked her to try it, but she explained that she asked the kitchen, and they said it was new as they cooked it new (yes, you can cook it new, but you guys might have thawed it improperly). It affected the chicken both on my bento box and in my brother’s Japanese curry. She then furthered that maybe we just don’t like the seasoning when the issue was not about the seasoning but the chicken’s meat. Yes, she apologised, but it was just for formality. I was hoping she’d changed just the chicken part of it, but they just said it was safe to eat. I can’t believe we were billed $123.50 for food that is inedible. Lucky for us, we used Eatclub for this place, but the amount we paid was still not worth it. As much as I’d love to recommend them, it is a hard no. We were left feeling hungry and disappointed. ***************** UPDATE (in response to the owner’s defence) Hi Grand Lafayette, Thank you for your response. I understand the value your offer provides, and I did mention our use of Eatclub in my review. However, the main issue I wanted to convey was the quality of the food and the overall dining experience, rather than the price alone. While the price is one aspect, the disappointment stemmed from the quality of the dishes, particularly the chicken. I would like to ask, irrespective of the price, would you have considered the food quality satisfactory if we had paid the full amount? My intention in sharing the review was to provide feedback on the taste and quality of the dishes. I appreciate your willingness to engage with customer feedback. Thank you for your understanding."
"My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful time at this restaurant! The staff were warm, inviting and attended. The food was really good and beautifully presented. We can't recommend their sweet and sour eggplant enough. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit in Prahran."
"We dined last night after receiving an offer from Eatclub for a 45% discount and LUCKY we had that because the prices here are very high! the portion sizes are small. We order a 68$ sashimi platter which had only 20 pieces of usual sashimi. I'm taking a star off because of prices vs portion size. Quality of food was very good and place was clean, quiet, open kitchen with full views. Would recommend but only with a discount."
"Spacious dinning with enough space to accommodate a huge group is a plus here. Staff are amazing with their service. Food is presented nicely and taste great. The only thing was we order pork sando thinking it’ll come with a soft white bread but it came in a baguette type break and we were a little sad until we bite into it! It was tasty as hell!"
