About the Business
Welcome to Carrum Downs Recreational Reserve, a premier establishment and park located at 15 Wedge Road in Australia. Our institution is a point of interest for locals and visitors alike, offering a wide range of recreational activities and amenities.
At Carrum Downs Recreational Reserve, we pride ourselves on providing a space that promotes health and wellbeing within the community. As part of this commitment, we are excited to announce the introduction of a new Victorian Government initiative: a separate purple-lid bin for glass recycling. Frankston City Council is preparing residents for this change and will be hosting community information sessions to answer any questions and provide further details about the new glass recycling bins coming to eligible households.
In addition to our focus on sustainability, we also prioritize community health and education. We are thrilled to announce the opening of the new Healthy Futures Hub, which will serve as a resource for enhancing community health and wellbeing. This hub will offer various programs and initiatives aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle for all.
For those interested in women's health, we will be hosting a menopause education session in partnership with WHISE (Women's Health in the Southeast). This free information session will provide valuable insights and support for women experiencing menopause or perimenopause.
As part of Biodiversity Month and the upcoming 2023 inaturalist bio-blitz, we invite you to join us on a guided walk through the beautiful Seaford Foreshore Natural Reserve. Led by knowledgeable Council Officers, this walk will provide a unique opportunity to learn about coastal processes, environmental management, and the diverse vegetation found in the area.
At Carrum Downs Recreational Reserve, we believe in the power of community and inclusivity. That's why we are establishing a Social Inclusion Action Group for community members who want to make a positive difference to mental health, wellbeing, and social inclusion. Expressions of interest are open until August 31st, and we encourage everyone to get involved.
As part of our commitment to community engagement, we are reviewing our existing Boatshed/Bathing Box Policy to ensure it aligns with community needs and new legislative requirements. We value your feedback and invite you to share your thoughts before September 24th.
Furthermore, we are currently planning for the future of kindergartens across Frankston City and want to hear from you. Your input is essential in shaping the services and facilities we provide, so please have your say before September 12th.
For those interested in staying informed about Council's decision-making and activities, we have created an online data portal that provides an overview of our ongoing projects and initiatives.
Lastly, we would like to acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional owners of the land, the Bunurong people. We recognize their custodianship of this land and honor the contributions of all Aboriginal community Elders, past and present, who have shaped the history of the region.
Thank you for visiting Carrum Downs Recreational Reserve. We invite you to explore our beautiful park, engage in our community programs, and enjoy the many recreational opportunities we have to offer.

Reviews
"Went to watch my grandsons football match and there was an old fashioned scoreboard leaning against the fence on the opposite side of the field which was hard to see. The club have bought an electronic scoreboard which is in storage; the issue is providing electricity to the board which cannot happen as the council owns the change-rooms/building where the power would be accessed. It is also sad that the junior club do not have their own club rooms to display trophies and team photos, very sad for the players."
"Nice new park! Quite large but easy to spot the kids. Trampolines, big swing, good slides, flying fox, shelter and BBQs, huge sand and water play area right next to the oval for a good dog walk."
"Got nets up behind the footy goals brilliant for not having to jump the fence to get your ball having a kick with the kids awesome"
"Was disappointed that there really wasn't much shade and the bins were overflowing with rubbish everywhere I have contacted the local council and awaiting a response in regards to over flowing bins. When we went recently there were flys everywhere and we didn't last long due to the sun and heat."
"This park is safe for kids and separated from the main road. Three picnic tables and two electric BBQs. Picnic tables are in a good central location to be able to monitor the kids."
