Welcome to The Grange Reserve, a truly unique establishment located at Clayton South, Osborne Avenue, 136-176. This park is not your ordinary green space - it commemorates a momentous day in local and universe history.
The Grange Reserve is a must-visit tourist attraction that will transport you to a world beyond imagination. This UFO themed park was designed in honor of an extraordinary event that occurred on April 6, 1966. On that fateful morning, more than 90 students and teachers witnessed three 'flying saucers' hovering over their school oval.
One of these mysterious crafts landed right here, in the pine grove that now makes up The Grange Reserve. Witnesses were astounded as they saw the craft rise silently from the ground, turn on its side, and shoot across the sky. This park is a tribute to that incredible day and a reminder of the unknown wonders that exist in the universe.
As you explore The Grange Reserve, you'll discover a playground that will ignite the imagination of children and adults alike. The centerpiece is a life-sized UFO replica, complete with rope ladders, steering wheel, and controls. Two thrilling slides allow you to escape the cockpit in a hurry, just like the witnesses described.
But the extraterrestrial adventure doesn't end there. You'll also find an alien-themed springboard and various information panels that shed light on the mysterious events of that day. Don't worry, though - there's plenty of non-intergalactic play equipment too, including swings, climbing ropes and walls, and a thrilling flying fox.
As you wander through the landscaped area, keep an eye out for carved native animal sculptures, adding a touch of whimsy to the surroundings. Whether you're picnicking with family and friends or simply enjoying a peaceful stroll, The Grange Reserve offers an enchanting experience for all.
To ensure your comfort, the park provides shelters with tables, BBQs, seating, toilets, and a drinking fountain. There's even on-site parking available for both cars and spacecraft!
The City of Kingston proudly acknowledges the Bunurong People of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of this land. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging. The Grange Reserve stands as a testament to the rich cultural history of this area.
Visit The Grange Reserve and immerse yourself in the captivating world of UFOs, mystery, and adventure. It's a journey you won't soon forget.

"It is a great place to take the kids for a play in the park or the family for a walk in the natural bushland reserve. Parking bbqs and toilets available. It also has a rich, interesting history from the 1960s."
"Beautiful place. Hidden gem. Had its own small, beautiful pine forest"
"UFO themed kids playground, based on a famous UFO sighting nearby! No kidding! Well made UFO saucer thing to climb into and fiddle the controls - with two slides going down. Plenty of other play things around, and 4-5 benches and public toilets"
"So much fun with that unique UFO playground equipment! Lots of fascinating playground equipment can be found in this park. There are also restrooms and BBQ facilities. Great park!"
"Beautiful native Heath flora and fauna. Plenty of play areas, sheltered bbq and seating areas with an array of wooden sculptures and plentiful pine trees and cones. Bordering a golf course and with an enclosed Heath walking trail. It’s not uncommon to spot a blue tongue lizard soaking up the morning sun. Most gorgeous and spacious park in the area. Home to the Westall UFO sightings!"
