He came out and helped with our bags. Drove us to the airport. He was friendly and chatted with us and the car was clean. "I had just finished a 12 hour day, and I saw a cab with its light on at a cab rank. I tried to open the door but it was locked, then the window on the front passenger side slid down a crack. “Where are you going?” He mumbled. “Redfern” I reply. Then the window slid back up. I would have been happy to pay over the standard fair, I just wanted to go home after a hard day at work, but no. Turns out he wanted a job at the Marriott, because they go to the airport. This is why people use Uber, cabs have nobody to blame but themselves."
"I ordered a taxi online the day before to go to the airport for 1 pm. 4 calls later at 1.40 our neighbour had to take us as they said they were sending a taxi twice and that it was a few minutes away. I then rang to cancel it at 1.40 as we couldn’t wait any longer and the man in the switch abused me and said I couldn’t expect to ring up and just get a taxi to the airport immediately without booking ahead. He continued yelling at me as I stated I had booked 24 hours ahead!!! Never again. An appalling unreliable service."
"I booked a taxi for an early morning (3:30) to get me to the airport. I was supposed to receive a text message 15 mins earlier that would include the driver’s details for my pickup. By 3:30, I didn’t receive a text message and started to get very worried. I called them several times but it was an automated machine that was saying that they are still looking for a driver. There wasn’t any option to talk to a human. I got very stressed. The driver finally arrived at 3:42 but I got so stressed that I don’t think will use this company again."
"Discusting behaviour from rude driver. T2028 should not represent silver service. Light on, sitting in taxi rank first cab, outside Mcdonalds circular Quay 9.25pm Wed 16 Sept in tourist area He, refused a 20 dollar ride aggressively. T2166 behind him, told me to phone police. I simply wanted to go home, so I had to walk 6 kms in the cold. Next time I shall take uber, I believe they are not aggressive or rude to their customers, that pay their wages. It was not a nice experience. Tourists will get a bad impression. I am sure police have important things to do rather than babysit taxi drivers from overseas, maybe he should learn how to speak english properly. Such a shame. Are there any Australian drivers left, they seemed to be so polite and nice, from memory. I am told by other reviews here uber are accountable and care about the customers, hence best choice by far, as silver Service employs nasty sleazy horribly rude men."
