In fact, A/Prof Mahmoud was the first gynaecological surgeon in Australia to become credentialed on the Versius robot, following his training in Cambridge, UK, in February 2020. Since completing his training in Texas, United States, in 2016, he has also been operating on the Da Vinci Robot. His expertise extends to providing a comprehensive range of laparoscopic surgeries, and he has achieved the highest level of accreditation in Advanced Laparoscopic Gynaecological Surgery in Australia.

As a senior mentor of the Sydney Western Advanced Pelvic Surgeons (SWAPS) group, A/Prof Mahmoud is committed to teaching and training other gynaecologists in laparoscopic surgery techniques. His dedication to advancing the field ensures that our patients receive the highest standard of care.
