For the safety of all ultrasound patients and their support person aged 12 years and over, face masks are mandatory during the ultrasound scan, as it is not possible to maintain a safe distance in the ultrasound room. We strongly encourage all other patients and visitors to wear masks as well, as maintaining a safe distance may not always be feasible.

We understand the importance of support during medical procedures, especially for obstetric ultrasound patients. Therefore, one support person is permitted to accompany them during the scan, with the requirement of wearing a mask at all times.

If a patient requires support during any other examination (excluding ultrasound), assistance will only be permitted if the support person wears a mask at all times while in clinical areas.
