"My usual doctor is away fir the next 3 months, so I rang Reliance West Gosford to make an appointment for a very debilitating issue ( major difficulty walking). I have tests that need to be advised. I was told "that seeing I haven't been there in a while, I had to paid a $50.00 non refundable fee, incase I didn't turn up". I can afford to $30.00 gap fee, but not $80.00. On a disability pension, I live hand to mouth. When did medical become all about the holy dollar and not the care of the patient."
"Hands down a well run practise with amazing staff. Had a procedure carried out by Dr Aye Aung and she was wonderful, explained everything in detail and talked me through everything. Nurse Charlotte remained by my side, held my hand and helped with my breathing. I highly recommend this practise and there wonderful staff."
"Humiliating experience and no respect for privacy from beginning to end. Receptionist spoke in a demeaning and loud tone and addressed my support worker solely as I am in a wheelchair, assuming I had no comprehension of what she was saying and for the rest of the patients to hear my business. Toilets were filthy with blood on the door. The female Dr to say the very least was uninterested in helping me and asked no questions as to why I requested a particular test and gave no information on test procedures for which I had to find someone to do it for me, as it is now a self testing test and being in a wheelchair cannot perform myself."
"First MUST have a credit card to book an appointment that should have been the red flag that sent me elsewhere. In I walk at the time to book in and mask are required, Ok the two receptionist sitting there with masks on chins, BUT me who has had less contact with sick people then then must wear a mask at the price of $2 to purchases, a box of 50 is $2.53 online retail. Nothing gives you more confidence than a medical practise that rips you off the moment you step in the door to follow rules that I have to follow but not them. Meet the doctor for a prescription and take along my hospital discharge record already without asking questions wants to prescribe a different medication I explain why he can’t do that, does not listen and explains why it’s better to change so I simply state I will pass that on to my specialist. A quick 5 min visit for the nice sim of $60. Health care at its worst in my opinion."
"Went to see them early January for a Pap smear with Dr Tara Rawat at North Wyong practice. When I got there I was told by nurse that I wasn’t due for until March and if I went ahead with the appointment I would be fully charged for the smear and nothing back from Medicare. I had seen Dr Rawat 3 days earlier and mentioned to her that I was having a smear, she never mentioned I was not due. The nurse spoke with the Dr when I was there, and she told me that I would be bulk billed for the appointment but I didn’t need to see the Dr. As I left the receptionist also told me there was no charge for the appointment and the appointment was bulk billed. Imagine my surprise when I received a notification the other day for payment of this appointment (note I’d been to see the Dr for another matter since that time and was not told I owed anything from 6/1). Phoned and explained situation 3 times but been told I have to pay. Pretty sure this is fraud and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If you tell someone you are not charging for a service, you cannot go back weeks later and decide to charge for it. Needless to say I won’t be back to that practice!! Very unhappy. No customer service or care about the patient."
