Young Actors Assembly - Miranda
About the Business
Welcome to Young Actors Assembly - Miranda, a dynamic institution located at Kingsway, 637 in Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we are dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation of creative leaders. Our programs in stage acting, screen acting, and filmmaking have proven to be highly successful, with many of our graduates launching successful careers in the film, theatre, and television industries.
At YAA, we recognize the growth of the Australian film industry and are committed to building a legacy for future generations. Whether your dream is to grace the stage or create the next groundbreaking film or TV show, we are here to help turn that dream into a reality.
Our supportive yet challenging environment provides opportunities that challenge and motivate our students to improve their craft. One of our students even received a prestigious scholarship for acting excellence at Queensland University Technology (QUT) and is now pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Acting.
Unlike other acting studios, YAA fosters a celebratory atmosphere where we rejoice in each other's successes. Our founder, David, teaches a specific technique that allows students the freedom to make choices in the moment, leading to incredible results. One of our students was even nominated for "Best New Talent" at the Logie Awards and AACTA Awards, and is currently starring in the hit series "The Commons" via Stan Original.
At YAA, we believe in disciplined and brave acting, both within the walls of our studio and in our students' personal lives. We teach the importance of deeply listening, which has a profound impact on how our students communicate with others and perform in professional settings. This dedication to honesty and authenticity has opened doors for our students, with one being accepted into the prestigious AFTRS Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production program.
We would also like to acknowledge and pay respect to the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the nation's first inhabitants and the traditional custodians of the lands where we live, learn, and work. Their stories and culture are an integral part of our institution.
If you are ready to embark on a transformative journey in the world of acting and filmmaking, Young Actors Assembly - Miranda is the place for you. Join us and discover the power of your creativity and the endless possibilities that lie ahead.

Reviews
"I’m 13 years old and I’ve been at YAA for 2 years now however I have been doing acting classes since I was 6 I’ve been at three different classes however this one is far superior due to the in depth lessons we are taught and how David looks and identifies how we act so we can better improve ourselves through acting"
