Members of the 'Friends of the Park' program attend regular meetings, visit the parks to identify maintenance issues, and help attract people to these special places.

Cabarita Park, in particular, holds significant historical and cultural importance. With its heritage pavilion, ferry wharf, children's playground, picnic facilities, and stunning views of the Parramatta River, it has become a favorite destination for various activities such as walking, cycling, picnics, and even ceremonies like weddings.

Livvi's Place, Australia's first all abilities playground, is another highlight within the City of Canada Bay. Recognized as the best play space in the country by Parks and Leisure Australia in 2010, Livvi's Place was designed to break down barriers for children with special needs and promote inclusive play for children of all abilities.

Peg Paterson Park, opened in March 2012, is a testament to the ongoing urban renewal program in Rhodes. Named after Peg Paterson, a beloved member of the Rhodes community, this neighborhood playground offers a range of activities for both active and passive recreation.
