"I tried Salsa 1, Brazilian Samba, Mambo Fundamentals, and Ladies Styling. The positives - There’re a lot of beginner classes and the location is super convenient. The teachers are all great dancers and able to break things down well. Neha at front desk is super helpful and I appreciate her and Aya remembering my name :) The negatives - the venue has sticky floors and no mirrors. Aya would have to copy your move to try and show you what you’re doing wrong. Salsa 1 often kicked off late and ran overtime. Too much time was spent plugging the socials, talking up awards and showing off. The teachers don’t cater to your level - I started in Wk 5 of term knowing the basic steps and with 4 years experience in other types of dance. In my 1st class I was asked to demonstrate a Cuban turn in front of the class and I picked things up quickly over subsequent weeks, never getting corrected but come Wk 1 of the next term (wk 5 for me). I couldn’t progress to Salsa 2 even though my dance partners and Mel all said I should be fine to. I disengaged with salsa after Wk 2 (my wk 6) as I was hungry to be challenged, not play icebreaker games and move at an absolute beginner pace."

Oliver even tried out his American accent to make me feel at home ;-) On1, On2, beginner or advanced. No matter what level of dancer you walk in the door, you will walk out of there a better, more confident dancer. I found the instructors attention to detail and focus on improving technique very helpful."
