Reviews of Joan Sutherland Theatre
"Wonderful theatre in an extraordinary building. Saw tonight's performance of Opera Australia's rendition of Verdi's Aida. Seat choice is important if you wish to view the sur titles. If you're happy to watch the performers and listen to the singing then I'd definitely recommend the first 3 rows in the stalls."
"It was a lovely memory to have a chance to enjoy, The Australian Ballet, Jewels, with my son, dated MAY 9, 2023, in the Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House. Actually, the theatre was very impressive, in terms of its scale. Further, I could see the ballerina and ballerino's combinations of gesture, music, and dance through live theatre. For your information, it is located at the same level of ticket office. The kind staff will help you to keep your winter coat as well. During intermission, you can have sodas and/or wines at a reasonable price. Enjoy."
"Enjoyed La Boheme in K28-29 stall seats. Fantastic vocal acoustics with a beautiful balance of orchestral music. Stage sets and lighting added to the evenings' experience."
"Absolutely wonderful theatre to watch operetta. Sound quality is quite remarkable since the update and refurbishment. Seats are very comfortable with very good views pretty well from anywhere. Sitting in the dress circle, we had great views of the surtitles and performers."
"This is a beautifully intimate theatre. Almost any seat is a good seat. Staff are friendly and helpful. The intermission was spent well on the outdoor balcony admiring the view."
