"Took my kids out there on a weekend, couldn’t have made a better choice. The destination had an enclosed swimming area providing a safe and calm environment for my kids. I’d say it’s one of the most delightful and safe destination for families and beach enthusiasts, combining natural beauty and convenience. The place is as beautiful as it can be, with golden sand and picturesque views. Showers, toilets, picnic tables, and barbecue areas are available nearby. Also, as it’s located within Kamay Botany Bay National Park, kids had ample opportunities for exploring nature and learning about the history of that area. However, tidal changes can affect the swimming space. Also due to limited parking, I would recommend early arrival on weekends."
"Very nice little place to go for a walk or stop and have a swim or have some lunch by the water"
"Always nice and not to crowded during the week."
"Early morning swim. We could be anywhere in the world but we are not, we are at Silver Beach, Kurnell, Sydney, Australia. Beautiful day in Sydney"
"Silver Beach in Kurnell, on the shores of Botany Bay, is epically long. The Silver Beach Baths, a netted ocean pool midway along it, is appropriately epic in scale. It’s 200 metres wide and 100 metres from shore to net, making for plenty of room for everyone no matter which way they want to play. The hardcore industrial backdrop and low-flying aircraft arriving and leaving from Mascot make for an interesting contrast with the natural beauty of this lovely beach, giving the whole place a surreal Geoffrey Smart vibe… and we really like that. There’s loads of free parking and outdoor showers, but no change rooms or other facilities nearby. Next time, and there probably will be a next time, we’re going to bring some of our extensive collection of inflatable pool toys with us, as the calm waters, extensive scale and boundary net here makes it the perfect place to use them."
