About the Business
Welcome to Chatswood Public School, a renowned establishment located on Centennial Avenue in the vibrant city of Chatswood, Australia. As a primary school, we strive to provide an engaging and educational environment for our students, ensuring they receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for a successful future.
At Chatswood Public School, we understand the importance of parental involvement in a child's education. That's why we offer a range of activities and programs that encourage parents and caregivers to actively participate in their child's learning journey. Whether it's attending our Education Week celebrations, where we recognize the achievements of our dedicated teachers and talented students, or providing feedback on our draft plan for NSW public education, we value your contribution and believe in the power of collaboration.
One of the highlights of our school is our Kindergarten program, where we provide a nurturing and supportive environment for our youngest learners. If you've ever wondered what a typical day in our Kindergarten looks like, we invite you to take a peek inside and witness the joy and excitement that fills our classrooms.
As we embark on this educational journey together, it's important to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which our school stands. We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their elders, both past and present.

"In Chatswood public school, there’s no strong policy towards children who bullied, and if you take it very seriously, maximum an apology would be informed by staff that the other family apologised and it won’t happen again!! So it’s promoting aggressive behaviour by very weak response to incidents. Preventing and responding to bullying is the shared responsibility of all school staff, volunteers, and contracted staff employed by schools, and students, parents and carers. But you won’t see it in Chatswood public school. Majority of school staff, kindly close their eyes and would say “we will inform you!!” If you really have a choice please consider the other options e.g. near by schools if they have to stay at Chatswood public school try to teach your kids to have zero tolerance towards bullying. In my case, I’m choosing another school for my son, and I know that I failed and needed to stay and fight back!! Hopefully you won’t be like me and others who left Chatswood public school hoping others will fix it one day!! Kind regards,"
"Please read this if you are considering to come to this school. When I was at this school last year, I was treated unfairly, and some teachers were racist. I am not certain if this school is still like this, but if it is, don't come here, for your own sake. This school was also immensely rude to certain students, and especially the Opportunity Class of my year. Many teachers would tyrant these students (my friend being in it) and not appreciate anything these students did. So, as I have summarized, please do not come here, if you wish to preserve your life, and not suffer to depression. Note - I would dearly want to put 0 stars, but maps doesn't let me."
"Was class of 2020. Teachers were great and did everything to prevent bullying. Community was nice just a but competitive musically and academically but in general a great school."
"this is my school and i love it. i am in year 6. they have done so much to prevent bullying. and although 2020 has been a year of change and challenges so therefore we have not been able to go to Canberra like we always do so the year 6 staff this year have done a replacement camp. the whole year 6 staff has told the principal that the class of 2020 must have camp this year. the teachers are really caring and they actually have a sense of humour and they are really creative .i love this school and i will miss it so much when i move on to high school"
"My school 1949 to 1952. I lived at Northwood and travelled by private bus to and from Chatswood station and walked up Victoria Ave.This class photo was taken at the rear of the main school building. We were told to keep our chins up ! I still have the names of all the students written in the back of the photo. Further info brucexbarker@gmail.com"
