"I cannot recommend Aquify Pools (contractor: T & M Pools) for several reasons. The excavation crew were careless and caused substantial avoidable damage. They also blatantly violated OHS regulations when operating the heavy machinery, which, unsurprisingly lead to some of the avoidable damage. The installation crew were either very lazy or just bad. The bottom of the pool is very uneven, which makes the pool feel like poor quality underfoot. The pool was placed 200mm out of position which had knock on effects for the concrete, tiling, pool fencing and landscaping. I had to order and pay for additional concrete and tiles, and several of the fence panels had to be scrapped and re-ordered. Landscaping/plants that were planned for one end of the pool had to be abandoned. I had to pay several thousand dollars as a result of the mistake. The incorrect location is likely going to cause issues with getting the OC. The project manager was totally unapologetic and tried to lie about the pool’s location. A subsequent site survey (also at my cost) confirmed that the pool was in the wrong spot and that the project manager was a liar. It was quite appalling. And weird. All in all it took about 6 months for the work to be “completed”, when they said it would take 6 weeks. The operations team were unaware of the requirements of the certification process, meaning that they have not provided the certificates required for the OC. It has been 10 months since the pool work was completed and after many phone calls and emails, the certificates have still not been provided. It is at the point where I need to engage a lawyer to get what I need for the OC. I don’t see this working out well. Without the certificates, the pool cannot be granted the OC by the certifier. As with any business – some of the people I dealt with were great. Several of the more junior workers were friendly, helpful and keen to do the right thing (I.e. do the job they were being paid for). Several of these more junior workers were quite dismayed by their inept managers. I hope they move on to a better business. I would suggest looking elsewhere for a pool builder."
