Welcome to The Geoff James Pool, located adjacent to Clovelly Beach in the City of Randwick, New South Wales, Australia. This establishment is a 25m saltwater pool with four lanes, perfect for lap swimmers. Maintained by the Randwick City Council, the pool is regularly cleaned to ensure a safe and enjoyable swimming experience.

During daylight saving months, lifeguards and lifesavers are on duty at Clovelly Beach, providing an added layer of safety for swimmers. Additionally, nearby facilities include toilets, showers, and a café for your convenience. For parking, we recommend the spacious Clovelly Beach car park on the southern side of the bay.

At The Geoff James Pool, we prioritize the use of natural cleaning methods. The Randwick City Council does not employ any chemicals to maintain our ocean pools. Instead, our pools are regularly inspected and steam cleaned when necessary. It's important to note that the water quality of our ocean pools is influenced by the condition of the ocean water itself, as water, seaweed, and other materials can wash into the pool.

To ensure cleanliness, the pool undergoes weekly cleaning, typically on Fridays to cater to weekend usage. However, please be aware that this schedule may occasionally change due to tidal and weather conditions affecting pool access and cleanliness. As weather conditions and tidal wash can introduce seaweed and other materials into the pool, the cleanliness of the water may vary.

The water inlets at The Geoff James Pool are dependent on tidal conditions, and the pumps are programmed to operate during high tide. However, activation will only occur when conditions allow. Please understand that due to the age of the facility, some stains and markings may be present, which cannot be removed.
