"Quite disappointed in what I received for the premium price they charge. Retro Designs obviously does no internal quality control. Everything came in very dusty shipping boxes from china. So no checking them when they arrive here in Aus. Delivery company didn't communicate when they said they would. Pre assembled parts have small but noticeable chips in corners and the flat pack stuff is the worst I have ever seen in any flat pack I have seen in my years. 90% of it might look good but the 10% thats not, is chipped/scuffed/marked panels and edge, noticeable glue still needs removing and thats not including the joke of instruction manual. If your interested in Retro Designs furniture (which is made in china) do yourself a favour and just take their design to a good local cabinet maker and see what they charge you to make you a flat pack."

"I bought the 2.4m White Gloss Suprilla TV unit 15 months ago. The piece looked great at first but recently I moved my soundbar which had been sitting on it, and realised the piece has yellowed - everywhere except where the soundbar was sitting. The unit isn't placed in direct sunlight, yet has aged considerably in 15 months, so is presumably finished in cheaper gloss. I reached out to customer service who couldn't do anything as it was out of warranty. UPDATE: Not long after posting this Retro Designs reached out to offer me a 50% refund, which I received very promptly. I feel that’s very fair and appreciate the effort to make this right."

"I purchased a 2.4 m TV floating wall unit, and it is of excellent quality but, while the delivery person seemed to handle the crate with care and there was no sign of damage to the crate and the cardboard box, when I unpacked the TV unit it turned out that the back panel had sustained damage while in transit. The back panel has to carry the weight while mounted on the wall, so it is an important part of the structure. I took some pictures of the damage and contacted Retro Designs, and they responded very fast. They offered three options, a full refund, replacing the unit, or they would send a replacement back panel free of charge for me to replace with money offered as compensation. I selected the replacement back panel and was able to pick one up from their factory, and was also happy with the compensation offered by Retro Design. Companies credentials are tested not when everything goes right, but when things go wrong and how it is handled to rectify the situation, and Retro Design gets 10 out of 10 from me. So if you never bought furniture online as I did and are a bit hesitant, just look at the feedback, this company stands by their product, and their customer service is second to none."
