"Fantastic scenery for picnics, bbq area and a nice playground. However, if you are planning to go swimming, be warned that there is a group of jellyfish roaming the area. I counted at least 9. Overall, a great place!"
"Ideal spot for a bbq / picnic & a swim If you can't get parking by the water, unload the car, including kids & any seniors, then drive up the top to McKell Park, walk back down via the steps."
"Looking at old photos, they've since fenced up the swimming spot, and decorated the park around here. It's a super nice place to be hanging out and around, with bbq pits and playgrounds for kids and facilities for dogs too. There's also a public pontoon for you to dock and board your boat, especially if you're being picked up for an oyster farm tour. That all said, I still don't think I'll want to swim inside the pool though."
"A beautiful place with so much fun for 1 years to 90 years"
"Great little swimming spot on the edge of the river. Don’t expect the yellow/white sand of the beach. The swimming area has some slippery rocks and sharp oyster shells so be mindful. Also, there are stairs which lead down to the baths. There are okay amenities nearby, the male toilets had one stall with a door you could easily see over, a urinal, several cold showers and heaps of bench space. If you are looking to change a nappy, do it outside on the grass. Wheelchair access is via the side, as there are stairs at the front. Lots of grass area for picnics though not much shade depending on time of day. There are a few undercover areas and barbecue facilities. You can walk around the perimeter of the baths if you’re looking to enjoy the fantastic view over Hawkesbury River. There are seafood cafes and restaurants within walking distance, a playground and some historic photos and information. Parking spaces are plentiful but it’s always difficult to find a spot. The train station is a short walk away though."
