"It's sad to give a low review after 1. spending a lot of money on the couch and 2. pre sales good, the people I dealt with were good. But overall, with our experience I would not buy here again, nor would recommend. We ordered the Bondi couch plus 2 ottomans and I chose my own fabric from Warwick fabric which Loungesplus did not supply so this was extra $200 plus fabric protection. Totalling roughly $4500 plus delivery. Jim was great when we were there choosing and buying. We were on the couch for a while discussing. I asked about the cushions and he said it can be changed to our preference as it's Australian made to order so you can get soft, medium and firm. I said I'd like the couch seat a little firmer than display in store and asked if the ottoman foam could be softer he said no it needs to be firm due to it being storage ottoman. The couch arrived and it had a stain on the ottoman, the firmness of the cushion was soft. We were able to change the firmness of the couch after much back and forth as it was not written on the pink order form/invoice. I learnt 2 things with this experience. 1. Imperative, make sure everything requested is in the invoice like cushion firmness and the filling 2. A fabric that's not 100% polyester which is what LP fabrics are. The stain on the sofa is still there. LP did send someone to clean it and they just used foam carpet cleaner. It is disappointing there's a stain on a brand new couch before it's even used with supposed fabric protection. The couch looks nice but we miss the comfiness and quality of the old couch from Harvey Norman. Hubby agrees the couch from HN was better in terms of comfort and quality. We really don't think and feel what we spent and what we got is worth it. In the shop and image of the couch on the website it had a mound on the seat cushion. Looks and feels comfy. Ours is just blocks of flat square foam which feels like outdoor cushion. Maybe something I get at Fantastic Furniture or IKEA, but not for $2599 outlay. Maybe Fantastic Furniture and IKEA are better quality than this supposed Aussie made. To put in perspective a $2599 couch in Freedom or Nick Scali is way, way better. We expected this to be on par with those in similar price bracket or even better. We thought we would get better value here but we were wrong. It turned out to be more expensive for a basic quality couch. The seat even has empty gaps between fabric cover and cushion as it's not filled properly. Nothing like the image on the website nor display in store, very basic, cheap quality for top dollar. Fair enough we did ask for a firm foam so it won't sag after a few months, but I just thought there would be more of a soft wrap/overlay/filling around it. According to an upholstery expert 'foam overlay is usually more suited to thicker cushions or when using a very high density, firm feeling foam. An overlay of the "Standard Density overlay/back foam (Super Soft)" in 25mm thickness should be added to create a softer feel, whilst still maintaining the quality of a high density foam core. Eg. If the desired cushion thickness is 150mm: 100mm high density core cushion with 25mm memory foam overlay on top and 25mm piece on bottom. For the price we expected this. Sad to say, having buyer's remorse big time. Worse is if I sit on the couch for more than 2-3hrs I get back pain. I find it so uncomfortable as even the backrest is too packed. This was a very expensive lesson to learn and hope this experience/review helps someone and prevents buyer remorse."
