"VFS team should come here and take a few tips. Processing at lightning speed without looting and harrasment."
"Quite busy but they moved through people at a steady rate. Total wait was about 1 hour and passport ready to be picked in 5 business days."
"So slow, too many people, slow staff and changing the rules without notification in their website. Stressful experience each time I have to go. Typical though."
"These are the ridiculous lines you have to wait in to attend an appointment. They turned off the air conditioning so there’s no air circulation or fresh air. People are left in stuffy heat with no water. It is 11:30 but they are still letting in people from 10am appointment? This is the most ridiculous visa centre! People are stressed because they’ve lined up for hours and kept being told to come later. The appointment times have no meaning. You can book 10am but won’t be let into the centre until 11:30 or 12pm. Even if you come early, they don’t let you in until it’s an hour later. The best tip is to use the visa free options to visit China. Then you can skip this ridiculous place. My suggestion: take advantage of the 6 day visa free period for Shanghai then have a ticket going to Taiwan, Hong Kong or Macau or any other country, then go back to Shanghai after for another 6 days free visa inserting another trip that leaves China every 6 days."
"Waited almost 4 hours to collect passport. There were over 200 people in the collection queue but the visa centre thought it was a good idea to only staff 2 counters for collection. They were able to serve at about 40-50 people per hour. A tip for next time: come at around 2 and get in line early and with fewer people. Most people arrive around 3 for collection."
